How to use Text Compare
- Paste the original text on the left and the edited version on the right.
- Read the comparison below: changed words are highlighted in place, green for additions, red for removals.
- Edit either side and the diff updates as you type.
What it is for
A diff answers the only question that matters after an edit: what actually changed? Compare drafts before sending, config files before deploying, or copied text against its source.
How it works
Both texts are split into lines and matched with the longest common subsequence, the same algorithm family code review tools use. Lines only on the right are additions; lines only on the left are removals; matched lines pass through unmarked.
