What it is for
Hexadecimal is the compact shorthand engineers use for raw bytes: two characters per byte instead of eight bits. It shows up in color codes, memory dumps, network captures, and file formats.
How it works
Each UTF-8 byte is shown as two hex digits separated by spaces. Pasting hex parses the pairs back into bytes and decodes them as text. Both directions run instantly in your browser.
