How to rotate a PDF

  1. Drop a PDF onto the page, or click Upload files. You can add more than one.
  2. Use the left or right button on a file to turn it in 90° steps.
  3. Click Apply rotation and download. One file downloads as a PDF. Several files download as a ZIP.

What it is for

Rotate PDF fixes pages that were scanned or photographed on their side. Each click turns every page in that file by 90 degrees, clockwise or counterclockwise. Turn it until the text reads upright, then apply. The original file on your computer is left as it was. The download is a new PDF with the rotation saved into the pages.

This is a whole-file rotation, not a crop and not a way to rotate a single page differently from the rest. If one page in a packet is upside down and the others are fine, split that page out first, rotate it, then put the packet back together.

How it works

The turn is applied in your browser. The PDF is not uploaded. After you download, you can combine it with other PDFs or export the pages as PNGs.
