What CSV keeps (and drops)
CSV keeps raw values and text: numbers, dates-as-values, and strings survive, with fields containing commas, quotes or line breaks wrapped in quotes per RFC 4180. It drops formulas (values are frozen), formatting, charts, images and multiple sheets per file - that is the format's nature, not a limitation of this tool.
