How to use list randomizer
- Paste your list, one item per line or separated by commas.
- Press Generate to shuffle it.
- Generate again for a fresh order, or Copy result to take the shuffled list with you.
What it is for
Randomizing playlists, giveaway orders, presentation sequences, chore rotations, or who presents first. Every order is equally likely, so it is fair for draws too.
How it works
A Fisher-Yates shuffle runs in your browser: each item swaps with a randomly chosen later item, giving every permutation the same chance. Nothing is uploaded.
Shuffling versus picking
Shuffling randomizes the whole order; picking draws one winner. Use this shuffler for sequences - playlists, speaking order, Secret Santa lines - and a wheel or name picker for single draws. Because every permutation is equally likely, the first item of a shuffled list is a fair random pick too, which makes one shuffle serve both jobs.
